Program recap: An incredible week in San Felipe, Mexico, where we’ve been working for the past 3-4 years! This year, we had the privilege of reconnecting with Alan, whom we first met almost 4 years ago. Watching him grow as he goes to high school this year and becoming a young leader in his community has been truly inspiring. Alan’s involvement in running clinics and organizing activities for younger participants was a highlight of our visit.
We also introduced a new program led by Adriana Carrandi which brought parents and children together—activities that, while not focused on soccer, are integral to community development.
We also reconnected with Football club @Tecnigol a program that serves 150 young players by providing a safe space to enjoy and grow through the sport. Our 90-minute training session emphasized football’s impact on young lives and community unity as well as learning new ball mastery skills.
Our mission in Mexico and elsewhere, extends beyond the field; it’s about uniting communities through sport and creating opportunities for youth in under-resourced areas. We’re grateful for the support of our donors, volunteers, and partners who make these transformative experiences possible. Together, we’re making a difference, one goal at a time.
Over the last 4 years this program as received 160 solar lanterns, with each going to the Santa Ana Nichi Elementary school.
