Supporting youth and refugee programs in Lowell

In 2023 FLO donated 10 soccer balls and a number of other soccer training equipment including: uniforms, bibs, cones and more. Our shared commitment to refugee integration and community-building comes from first hand experience. Together, we can help create a more welcoming and inclusive society for all.
In the summer of 2023, FLO International made a meaningful donation of essential sports equipment—soccer balls, pinnies, cones, and pug nets—to the emergency shelter in Ayer, MA, to support families and youth facing displacement and hardship. This donation provided children with the opportunity to engage in daily soccer activities in the shelter's courtyards, while their parents sought work to support their families. For many of these young people, soccer became a safe and joyful outlet, allowing them to build friendships, develop a sense of belonging, and learn important lessons in teamwork and community.

At FLO, our giving is guided by values of belonging, teamwork, and leadership—especially for those who may not have access to recreational opportunities. We are proud to support these children and families, helping ensure that all youth, regardless of their circumstances, have the resources they need to thrive. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to fostering resilience and creating opportunities for young people to grow, both on and off the field.
